WELCOME TO
HORNSEY PARISH CHURCH
- a church with open minds and full hearts -
Hornsey Parish Church is a diverse and inclusive church, a place where all can flourish as God's people, with a congregation representative of the varied community that Hornsey is: young and older; married, single and partnered, straight and gay; British and international.
We are building a home where everyone can feel they belong, and you are welcome here. By encountering God in Christ, in worship, in one another, and in loving creation, our hope is that everyone can find a sense of peace here and grow spiritually with us.
We are part of the Church of England in the Edmonton Area of the Diocese of London, which in turn is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion. The style of our worship is focused upon the Eucharist. We see our liturgical life as very important: not fussy and celebrated with attention and care.
There is something for everyone at Hornsey Parish Church and we hope that can include you too.
Please come and see us – you will be very welcome!

Fr Bruce-Julian to leave Hornsey Parish Church this Autumn
After nearly fourteen very happy years of faithful ministry, we announce with both gratitude and sadness that Fr Bruce-Julian will be leaving Hornsey Parish Church later this summer.
His final Sunday with us will be 14th September 2025, and we will gather to give thanks for his time among us at a special Mass of Thanksgiving on the evening of Thursday 11th September, followed by a gala celebration.
Please save these dates as we prepare to say farewell and honour all that Fr Bruce has given to our community.
Over the coming months, there will be opportunities to share our appreciation and memories, and to bless Fr Bruce-Julian as he prepares for the next chapter of his ministry. For now, we give thanks for his leadership, his prayerful presence, and his deep commitment to shaping Hornsey Parish Church as a place of welcome, beauty, and contemplative action.
Introducing our new Music Director:
Dr Leah Stuttard
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Leah Stuttard as the new Music Director at Hornsey Parish Church, beginning her ministry with us on Sunday 8th June 2025.
Fr Bruce-Julian writes:
“I am so delighted we have appointed Leah, who brings together impressive musical ability, strong choral leadership, and a deep, demonstrative faith. Alongside her wide experience of church life, Leah also has a growing practice in contemplative prayer, and so resonates not only with our commitment to music and the arts, but also with our calling to be a Contemplative Church in Action.”
We look forward with joy and anticipation to welcoming Leah and beginning this new chapter in our shared ministry of music, worship, and spiritual growth.

Improving the Impact
of Our Mission
Our Open Door project is about making our church and garden more accessible, so as to make the opportunities to be renewed in Spirit more available to everyone in the community.
Do you have a fund-raising idea that could help us raise the money we need to improve the accessibility of our building and garden? Could you offer to organise or host a fundraising event? This might be anything from a Coffee Morning, to a sponsored walk, to a cake sale or cultural event. If you are able to volunteer, please contact Annie Perkins on general@hornseyparishchurch.org
