ABOUT US
At Hornsey Parish Church, we aspire to be a home where everyone can feel at peace and renewed in the Spirit, through stillness and prayer, through worship and music, through faith in action.
For us, the word "everyone" is important. In the Gospels, Jesus' actions are--over and over again--about bringing in people who are outcast or on the margins, healing divisions, and enlarging the idea of community. It is that vision that inspires our own notion of inclusivity, and undergirds our commitment to offer a warm and generous welcome to every person we encounter. We aim to love first, and ask questions second (if at all).
We strive to be good and conscientious neighbours and citizens, caring for those around us and supporting movements for social and environmental justice. Part of that is making sure that our own buildings are accessible and welcoming; in 2019 we launched our 60/60 Open Door project to begin to address that issue, and we have just finished the first phase of of our upgrade.
In all of this work, we are nurtured and sustained by our life of prayer, contemplation and sacrament---by a sense of care for each other, and the nearness of God's sustaining love.

OUR PARISH VALUES
We are a Christ-centred community, where all are valued and encouraged to live out their faith in daily life and in action - by Loving God, Loving Neighbour and Loving Creation.
We strive to grow in Christ-consciousness, in love and trust in God and in one another, through worship, prayer, study and discussion, fellowship and mutual support.
We are committed to building a thriving, spiritually healthy community for all who seek a greater sense of peace, purpose and belonging.
