Come join us!
We value our parish community, as we care for each other and work together to share God's love with the people of Hornsey. We have many groups that meet regularly, and some that meet occasionally on an ad-hoc basis. Below we provide information about our groups and activities, and here is a list of current upcoming special events:
Friday, 30th January
Axios Film Night
Our Axios group for adults 18-40 will be having a film night at 7.30, with popcorn and refreshments--for details, please contact Mthr. Clemency or Karl.
Tuesday, 17th February
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
Come join us from 7pm onwards to celebrate "Fat Tuesday", as we prepare for the strictures of Lent. Toppings gratefully received!
Wednesday, 18th February
Ash Wednesday
We will have masses with the imposition of ashes at 11 am, followed by a light lunch, and (sung) at 7pm.
Sundays 22nd Feb, and 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd March
Lent group looking at Stations of the Cross
After church we will meet in the Chapel as five speakers will each look at one of the stations each week. The sessions will be very informal, and last 45 mins to an hour.
Sunday, 29th March
Palm Sunday with Tenebrae in the Evening
On Palm Sunday in the morning, we will have Mass with procession as usual, and in the evening, our choir will be joined by the singers of St. Michael's Highgate for a choral service of Tenebrae.
FURTHER AHEAD: DR. PAULA GOODER IS COMING!
On the evening of 3rd June we will host a Deanery Synod at which the speaker will be the very distinguished theologian and New Testament scholar Paula Gooder, who is Canon Chancellor at St. Paul's Cathedral. More details to come, but save the date!
