We have an extremely close relationship with our parish school, and much of our ministry to children, young people and families in the community takes place there or originates there, as we continue to serve these families as their children go through adolescence.

We take assemblies weekly, and run faith-sharing groups, prepare children for admission to communion and confirmation.  We also run informal art clubs, and provide a wide range of pastoral support, including one-to-one mentoring of the most challenged children

St. Mary’s School has offered a Church of England based education since 1863, and today we provide for children from nursery to Year 6. The school is voluntary aided and works closely with the Governing Body to provide a high standard of teaching and learning. Our school is about people, individuals working together to achieve high standards in a happy, secure and supportive community.

The school welcomes visits from prospective parents /carers and their children, to meet staff and look around the school. Please telephone the school or call at the school office to find out details of our open days or arrange a time to speak to the Head Teacher.
